Tungsten Associates was founded by Jonathan Haag. Mr. Haag has over fifteen years of experience in engineering and construction projects, having advised clients during the execution of active projects and provided expert analysis and testimony in related disputes.
Mr. Haag understands projects because he has lived them – not just from the comfort of an office, but in dusty trailers, dirty boots, and sweaty hard hats. He draws on this first-hand experience to bring credible, objective, and concise analysis and guidance whether in the field, at a boardroom table, or on the testimony stand.
He has worked on projects around the globe, with experience in North and South America, Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East. His project involvement spans numerous industries, including infrastructure, oil and gas, mining, renewable and conventional energy, and commercial and residential construction. Mr. Haag has testified in ICC and ad hoc arbitrations and has assisted clients through various other negotiations, mediation, and dispute review board proceedings.
Mr. Haag holds a degree in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also serves as Curriculum Committee Chair on the advisory board for the School of Building Construction. He is certified as a Planning and Scheduling Professional, Certified Cost Professional, and Project Management Professional, and he is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. Haag has also been selected for recognition in Who’s Who Legal since 2019 for his expertise in Construction Quantum and Delay and Mining.
